Wilson replied questions that day the same way he has throughout his nine-year NFL career -- without even uttering a critical word. That's the reason why it was so jarring when he went public with his frustration over most of the hits he's taken and said his appetite for more say in the group's personnel decisions.

His remarks included what came as a veiled ultimatum when he said, for the very first time, the potential for finishing his livelihood elsewhere.
