Just a quick poll. I'm sure that most users aren't happy with the Yelp of Irritation buying spins annoying But how do you feel about the impact it has on new players? Will they view it as part and parcel of the game? This makes it less exciting for those who are familiar with the system, but it can make things worse for someone who has been there.
Will skills be considered as part of the normal game or feel discounted? I am honestly unsure if this matters for new players. It could be beneficial that they can grind for some additional cash every now and then. Do you think that this will reduce the quality of their the skills of those who grind once everything is evened out and everyone has spent the initial amount?
It would be an enormous advantage to me to be completely truthful. It's probably a sad incident however, I used to have number of daily dailies each day when I was playing Neopets. They were all available for free and offered a huge reward. So I did them religiously each day for many years. I still perform a handful of them from time to time. You can get free stuff that's slightly more interesting and you could even earn rewards.
Your argument is excellent. It's something that I've never thought about. On the other hand, it's a loopy method of letting people experience real world munny...which isn't logical for those of us who have been playing for years and have earned our levels by working hard.
